
Robin O. Brena
Managing Attorney
Mr. Brena is a life-long Alaskan who has over 35 years of experience representing clients with interests in Alaska. Mr. Brena is the owner and managing attorney of Brena, Bell & Walker, P.C., which he founded in 1988. He maintains an active trial and appellate practice, centered on complex cases in courts and regulatory agencies at both the state and federal levels. Mr. Brena focuses on challenging cases involving oil and gas, pipeline, public utilities, tax assessment, telecommunications, real estate, and commercial litigation issues. Mr. Brena has successfully prosecuted multiple cases in which greater than one billion dollars has been at issue.
Education
Mr. Brena has a B.A. in psychology from New College and three graduate degrees in business and law. Mr. Brena obtained an M.B.A. with an emphasis in accounting and finance from the Atkinson Graduate School of Management, a J.D. from Willamette University College of Law, and an L.L.M. with an emphasis in real estate development and finance law from the University of Miami School of Law.
Admitted to Practice
Mr. Brena is admitted to practice in Alaska state courts, all courts in the State of Texas, and before the United States Supreme Court, the United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit, the United States Court of Appeals for the District of Colombia Circuit, the United States Tax Court, and the United States District Court for the District of Alaska.

Mr. Brena has been named as one of the “Top Attorneys in Alaska,” as one of Alaska’s “Super Lawyers” in the areas of oil and gas, public utilities, and business litigation; as a Lifetime Charter Member of “Best Attorneys of America;” and as one of America’s Top 100 Attorneys (Alaska). He has been the Chairman of the Real Estate Section of the Alaska Bar Association, the Chairman of the Estate Planning and Probate Section of the Alaska Bar Association, has taught Advanced Business Law at the University of Alaska, and has given guest lectures at the Willamette University College of Law.
